Left the beautiful Thousand Tails at 8:00AM. Cloudy and around 55 degrees F. In Hope, did not correctly navigate the choice for Hwy 97, and chose Hwy 5 instead. It was hard driving for Larry with so many steep up and downgrades plus being curvy in parts. There was still snow on the ground in the high passes. The rivers and streams were fast flowing from snow melt and rain. In Kamloops we turned west to Cache Creek where we re-joined with Hwy 97. Stopped for hamburger, then on to Williams Lake and stayed at the Stampede Campground. Nice, we had 50 AMP. Free Wi-Fi, but I was a little far from the antenna as it dropped out a lot. Arrived about 3:30 PM.
