Today, we drove past Bonita Lake on Forest Service Rd 107 to almost the end where FSR 108 comes in.  It is not paved and goes over the mountain and comes out south of Nogal.  The road has a lot of switch backs and ruts, but we never needed the low 4WD gear.  The  peak for the road was 8,800 ft and is at a parking area for those who want to hike over to Crest Trail which follows the mountain crests in the area.  The scenery was beautiful and all so green from the recent rains.
