Ruidoso Flood

We received more than 5" of rain here at the campground. The Rio Ruidoso which is more like a little creek was raging from all the mountain run off. This campground is on the side of a mountain so we are high & dry. The pictures in this album of Ruidoso Downs Race Track were taken around 11:00 AM on Sunday.
Hard to beleive that the track re-opened for short races the next Saturday.
We drove downtown on Monday and the river was still out of the banks and swirling under houses.
